Let’s Watch a #Horror Movie… A Nightmare on Elm Street

I am still squeeing and flailing about the IT trailer. September has never felt so far away! I would love to gather up all my horror-loving friends and go see it together! Sadly, that might be a little difficult, so we’ll have to settle for live-tweeting scary movies. And this month, I wanted to take a trip back in time and watch an oldie, but a goodie. Let’s watch… A Nightmare on Elm Street!

Movie poster

The 1984 classic American slasher film written and directed by Wes Craven brought us the stuff of nightmares. This is the film that began the whole gory series. I love it!

I saw this movie at a friend’s slumber party when I was a kid. It scared the bejeebus out of me.

If you die in your dreams, you die in reality.

A little song to sing before bed

The kids of Elm Street are being hunted in their dreams by, well, my favorite slasher, Freddy Krueger.

The hat. The burned skin. The famous striped sweater. The iconic killer glove. The dead man returned to seek his revenge.

If you’re in the mood for a bit of blood…

A bit of creepiness…

A lot of screaming.

And a lot of coffee.

Join me on Friday, April 21st. Turn the lights off, grab some snacks, and press play at 9 EST. You can find me on Twitter #NightmareonElmStreet. Tweet with me! We’ll have so much fun.

Whatever you do…don’t fall asleep.

I am so there. Cannot wait. I think. Actually I’m pretty uncomfortable with this. I’ve never watched NOES because it looks scary.

It is a bit bloody! But I love Freddy.
