Midnight Society Movie Night: IT

Let’s Watch a Horror Movie is now the Midnight Society Movie Night! Every month I live-tweet a scary movie to share the fun with anyone who wants to join. This month I’m watching IT.

Join us. We all float down here.

The evil from the sewers comes for dinner, I mean, IT only eats once every 29 years, so can we blame IT? A super fun movie where we can spend time with Pennywise the Dancing Clown. Who can say no?

I’ll give you a balloon.

Directed by Andy Muschietti and based on 1986 Stephen King book, this movie takes us to meet and battle IT. Ben, Richie, Eddie, Stan, Beverly, Mike, and Bill have their own problems, their own fears and pain. As they navigate life of school, bullies, and parents, they discover there’s more to the town of Derry, Maine.

Like evil.

Evil that hunts them.

Evil that takes the form of their greatest fears.

Sounds like fun, right?

Fun that will give you nightmares.

I saw this one in the theaters and was happy I went. I enjoyed the kids a lot. The stories, the emotions all wrapped in a shell of juicy horror. The first part of the story introduces us to these kids, to their lives, and let’s them grow and become friends.

Part two of this story will be released in fall of 2019 and give us the story of these characters as adults. Seeing as that is so far away in the future…we’ll have to watch this part a few times.

So wanna watch?

DO YA?!?!?!!?

Join me on Friday, April 20th on Twitter at 9 EST. Find me on #ITmovie and #MidnightSocietyMovieNight. Prepare to get comfy, grab chocolate, and turn out all the lights. Watch a movie with me on Midnight Society Movie Night!
