Contagious Reads Horror Con: Celebrating Women in Horror

Today I have an exciting event to tell you about! One of my favorite horror book blogs, Contagious Reads, is going to be hosting a conference celebrating women horror writers. Big shout out to our very own Faith, for giving me the heads up on this one. They happen at conventions and as part of the intermission at plays (that happened at a community play in Wichita) and county fairs (hey Denver!). A great ongoing one is th[...]

Eerie Finds at at Emerald City Comicon

I recently visited Emerald City Comicon, one of the largest cons out there, and spent a full day (open to close, 11am to 8pm) just going through artist alley. This con has gotten BIG. There is something for every taste. With that in mind, I've pulled out just a few of my finds, in the hopes of finding something of interest for every Midnighter out there. I'm going to start off with one of my favorite artist finds, Gillian Newland. Her booth was constantly swarmed and I had to try three times to get up there. One of the great stuff about her work is that while i[...]
