Midnight Society Movie Night: Pet Sematary

Welcome to August, and a new month means a new live-tweet with me! Let’s watch the 2019 version of Pet Sematary for…

Written by Jeff Buhler and directed by Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer, Pet Sematary, a second adaptation of Stephen King’s 1983 novel, hit theaters earlier this year. If you read my last post, you know I wasn’t going to go.

Then I did.

And I loved it.

A tale of grief, desperation, and family as Louis fights for the life of his daughter. Death, a bit of murder, a little grave robbing, and plenty of creepy have me excited to watch it again. This remake did not have me crying in my popcorn, but delighted me at how the Pet Sematary universe had been expanded.

The same family and friendship circle around a nightmare. An ancient place, an evil place, waits to claim victims, to feed on loss.

Midnight Society Movie Night is the perfect time to come together with horror-loving friends and share what makes us happy. I would watch with my hubs and kids, but they just run away. I failed at their training. Anyone else long for horror friends?

So let’s watch it together! Join me on Twitter Friday, August 30th at 9 EST. Find me on #MidnightSocietyMovieNight and #PetSemataryMovie for a tweeting good time. Watch with me and add your own thoughts and reactions…or simply enjoy the multitude of tweets I shall send out into the Twitterverse. I’m mildly entertaining, I promise.

Cheers and nightmares,

Kathy
