I’m so excited and pleased to announce the last Midnight Marauder of 2015.
What the heck is Midnight Marauder?
The Midnight Society’s Midnight Marauder is a member of the Midnight Society team. He or she is someone that goes above and beyond to contribute to the Midnight Society, to our readers, and embraces the wonders of macabre like no other.
According to the dictionary, a marauder is one who roves and raids in search of plunder and we’re always roaming the world of shadows to bring pieces of it to you.
What does this mean?
The winner of the Midnight Marauder is awarded the following:
- Bragging Right
- The Glory of the Underworld
- $20 Gift card to Amazon, Starbucks, or Barnes & Noble (winner’s choice)
Announcing the Midnight Marauder
This Midnight Marauder is one of my favorite people of all time. She works hard. She is constantly coming up with new, innovative and fun ideas. She’s adventurous, talented, and always trying new things. She makes so many things happen around here. She helps run our Pinterest account and our social media accounts. She helped plan our October event (which is crazy and stressful enough) all the while writing books, and being an HTML goddess and solving a website issue I had been trying to fix for months in about 30 seconds. I am 100 % certain that there is NOTHING that she can’t do. She’s also an amazing writer and cheerleader.
Every day she amazes me. Every day I am grateful to call her friend.
Here’s a little bit more about her.
She finds the best GIFs.
She’s a Tumblr Queen! No one finds cooler things on the web than she does.
She recently published THE COOLEST BOOK ever about lipstick and zombies and is titled appropriately. Check it out! Because what’s cooler than a girl power band and zombies? Nothing.
I absolutely fell in love with her recent post about ghosts called Ghosts Have Feelings Too. Have you ever gotten a feeling when you’re alone late at night…
She knows her history. And she knows it well. I love her posts about horror history.
She loves spooky so much that she came up with the idea to celebrate the spooky and macabre all year long. You can do it too! Check out the details!
Announcing The Midnight Marauder
You know what they say! The cards don’t lie!
CONGRATULATIONS FAITH MCKAY!
Faith McKay passed away suddenly, accidentally staking herself while reenacting an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, surprising no one.
She wrote Prophecy Girl and Liberty Bound, the first two novels in the Lacuna Valley series, and was hard at work on a dozen other projects at the time of her death.
When she wasn’t writing, she spent her time with the love of her life, Robert, playing board games and explaining to him why creepier was always better. He’d hoped that joining The Midnight Society would quench her fascination with the strange, but reports it only worsened her condition.
In lieu of flowers, please submit your own rendition of Frank Sinatra’s My Way to your favorite social media sites.
As promised multiple times over the years, she haunts the internet at the following locations:
Congratulations Faith! Thank you for everything that you do for the Midnight Society and for me.
