Steampunk would lend itself to the classic Frankenstein monster beautifully, but I actually haven't found that much in the way of steampunk Frankenstein monster's out there. (If you've found something, leave it in the comments!) I did find Rick Baker's costume. Rick Baker is a famous special effects artist, and he put together this interpretation to celebrate his M.A.C. A lot of people avoid the book, because a lot of people simply avoid books from the 1800s, and that's okay, but you're missing out on some great classic quotes here, and that just can't happen.
